Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if Idnet are involved with or planning to use this new BT 21CN service?

If so, any news from Idnet on this subject?

Rik

All ISPs are involved, Dave and will begin using the new services as they become available. I believe that IDNet will be offering the changes as soon as they can, but BT is being a little fuzzy on dates.

NP. :) My best guess is this autumn, but it will depend on exchange conversions, of course.

when I last read up on this, I think we will be into the 22nd century before BT enable Penzance exchange :sigh:

Rik

I know how you feel, Philip, we're well down the list too...

Think my exchange is due to move into the 21st Century in 2011, and by the time that comes it may well have been moved back to sometime in the 4th millenium  >:D

Rik, this thread drifted a bit, but what happens when my exchange upgrades in q3 this year, will I get 16 meg then and what else?

Will it cost more?

Rik

You won't get it automatically, Malc. What I suspect will happen is that a new range of products will become available as exchanges upgrade. I haven't seen anything on pricing though.
