HI all

Im ill today and need some way of getting my website files into my college lecturer
Most upload sites are blocked for obvious reasons but i think ftp still works

Iv got the client (SmartFTP) but apparently i need a ftp server (thought i could set this up through my computer)

Any karmic ideas in the house?  :P

Rik

It sounds like you need a password rather than a server, Sam. The server, surely, will be at the college?

Could you not just burn a CD and get someone to drop it off for you?

Thing is I have to take a train to get to college (30 min train ride) then a 5 minute bus journey through town  :-\

lol

*checking out sev-u now  :thumb:*

mrapoc

karmic but it doesnt allow him to download the website folder

it saves it as some kind of "file" and no extension - so its not appearing as a folder

hmm

it works but is there any alternatives/settings to make him able to download the whole folder

Rik

Would emailing it be practical, Sam. As you're on SuperMax and uploads aren't included, it's worth thinking about. How big is the project?

lets hope he checks his emails  :P

cheers  :karmic:

I've been using this for a while now. It's a nice bit of software. I occasionally use smart ftp, then I remember this :D
