I can't give you any more than the opinion I already have, James, I think it's an exchange/BT congestion issue. I've seen nothing to indicate to me that IDNet have an issue, and I can log in to both my usual dsl4 and the gw5 realm, so I've tested across both.

I have to agree with you, Rik. I might not have the same profile (mine is a mere 4000k) but if it were IDNet I'd expect sub-2Mb speeds also, which I never get. My speeds are consistently maximum, so it has to be BT.

I can appreciate the frustration, James. I just don't think there's anything you can do other than move to LLU. :(

IDNet is a palace in an ISP world of council estates with skips full of old mattresses, no intention of leaving a good ISP sebby  :thumb:

Oh, I don't need aspirin, I'm just frustrated for you. I'm as certain as I can be that this is a BT issue you've been experiencing, but they won't accept responsibility for most things, just pointing to the FTR. :(

IDNet to go LLU then the kingdom will be a palace

Sebby

It's an interesting point, Colin. Unfortunately, IDNet just don't have the right business model in place (which is a good thing). LLU can only be afforded by the big boys. Still, I think IDNet do a pretty good job on IPStream. ;)
