Apparently Apple's EULA with Safari for Windows specifically prohibits it being installed on Windows P.C.s

I've tried it (I haven't read the article yet, so I could have broken the EULA

) and thought it was okay. It was never originally intended to compete with Internet Explorer and Firefox in a big way, and was mainly released due to the iPhone. I can't see it doing that well in the Windows market. IMHO, Apple software just doesn't feel right in a Windows environment. I hate iTunes, but have to use it because of my iPod.

If you're curious, give it a go.

Well took your advice and i've got it running now! I must say it is quick! A lot quicker than FF or IE in fact. Though only time will tell if its really any good.

Just downloaded and trying it now. First impression is that it's pretty dull to look at, I don't like that dull dark gray, anyone know if it's possible to add a bit of colour?

Yeah the grey is off putting. Does your text look fuzzy too?

On some sites yes, this one for sure. I used to get a similar effect when I had Linux on my PC.

There has recently been calls to remove unfair clauses from EULA's. They are usually so long and dificult to interptret I imagine that few people read them anyway.

one nitpick on the article, the term doesn't seem to be impossible, there doesn't seem to be anything forbidding installing safari under windows on a mac.

Of course, with the EULA screw up, Apple will probably be pushing another update shortly.
