Steve

Anyone else got a problem with idnet customer login and/or rss feed at the moment. Obviously I have.

I haven't tested, Steve, but as we've got problems with the forum and email, I'm thinking a router may be acting up, so that would take the main site out too. :( IDNet are aware.

Working fine now, so it would seem it was all related. :)

Rik

It was, Steve. A switch failed at Telecity, and cut off access to a chunk of the internal IDNet network, of which we are part.

They've had some problems at IDNet today - a switch went down. After trying the obvious when my net connection dies (changed router - checked canling etc) I called out of hours support - and as always - IDNet support was amazing.

I got the call back in less than 5 minutes - and it seems to be fixed.

This is all in the last 15 minutes.

Kudos to IDNet once again - now - how do I give THEM a karma?

As an aside, Computer Shopper mag is running an ISP satisfaction survey at http://www.realbroadbandspeed.co.uk/ It only takes a couple of minutes to fill in. I already did - and gave them top marks.

Oh - a word of warning - last page of the survey - is tick NOT to receive info etc. It's opt out - not opt in.

Steve

Edit - a Speedtest.net result is required - I've seen a couple of pretty unbelievable ones posted here this week - maybe they will do :)

Look for a post by Simon and award a karma as normal.

Here for example. :)

I will, of course, accept any kudos and karmas going, but you really should be looking for Simon_idnet, as in Rik's link.  ;)
