My PC was working fine last night, but this morning half of the text is italics?

In excel and here, eg when posting this topic, the subject box is in italics, but the body were I'm typing isn't.

Strange.  Any ideas? Will a reboot clear it, everything else is fine.  :comp:

Reboots always my favourite  ;)

Hey Malc

Is it just microsoft products that have this problem, i.e. office. Outlook express etc etc.

Sebby

That is strange, I can't think of anything it could be. Give a reboot and see if it helps. :)

Malc

Up to now all I've tried in excel and here.

I'll open a few more things.

Malc

Look at this and the subject, message and colour are italics, but the message body isn't  ???

somanyholes

try this malc, In IE go up to VIEW then to ENCODING select AUTO SELECT but you might also try select CYRILLIC (Windows). See what happens

Malc

Brilliant  :thumb: :karmic: that fixed it.

:thnks:

Any idea how that happened?

Malc

I'm running a virus scan now to be safe  ;)

Sorry Malc - that wasn't aimed at you mate - just a friendly jibe at Jerry  :)

we all ask questions in here that we'd probably find the answer to on Google if we looked hard enough - I've done it plenty of times myself, so no shame there. It's easier to ask on here, because quite often someone has come across it themselves and knows the fix straight off.

You can get off the fence now  ;D
