Right guys and girls, I'm after a socket A (also called socket 462 I think) motherboard, capable of taking a AMD 2500+ barton core processor. I'm thinking that as this is quite old technology that someone may have one knocking about which they don't need anymore.

If you can post here the board you can offer me along with the price, I'll see if any would be any good for what I need :)

PS a MSI 6712 kv4-L would be absolutely fantastic!

Thanks
Lance

Lance, I've got an Asus A7N8X Deluxe MB c/w an Athlon XP2500+ and 512Mb already installed, if you are interested I am sure we can come to an agreement on a price.

I am about to upgrade my main PC and swap the MB etc. from that into my standby PC making the Socket A board surplus to requirements.

I can't say I've got one. Maybe eBay?

I bought one of eBuyer for a friend recently for about £30, so that's always an option.

Lance

i might take you up on that, Ray. I'll just see what other people have to offer first!

I am keeping an eye on ebay but would prefer to buy from a member on here whom hopefully i can trust more!
