main puter direct connected .... fine.
remote puter(dell 6000 lappie) on wireless (strength6) keeps dropping connx fairly frequently & reconnects only by refreshing network list on lappie.
Suggestions welcome and no Dean, I refuse to bin it just yet!! ;D

This router is seriously getting on my t*ts!
Few things;
Remote lappie keeps showing 2 sources on the network. 1 is my normal ssid and the other is a BT**57 or similar which keeps coming and going and which I have managed to connect to  and if I switch off the 2700 the connx vanishes. Note, this is meant to be a single ssid router!!
Showing 54Mbps on the lappie now which is fine but I know it'll slowly drop of to 3...2...1 Mbps and then bye bye. It will re-establish the connx when it feels like, sometime between 2 mins and an hour+.
Tried different channels, strengths etc on the 2700 settings but I feel like I'm batting my head against a brick wall.
OK, I may have a duffy on my hands but 'how to tell' ,cos it's behaving superbly again now!!
jftr I had an all knowing friend around a while back and he says that it's almost like the BT badged routers have some inbuilt f*** up system built in when they've been poisoned. I find this a very interesting theory.
Comments welcomed.

I'm sure we'd have seen more problems reported if that was the case. I've got the SBC version, and started losing wireless until I moved from ch11 to ch1. It's why I like wires, you can see if they're plugged in and test them with a meter. ;)

20m ethernet lead ordered.
I shall miss the wireless connx. It'll give me something else to trip over I suppose!  :bawl:

Lead received today.
Of course the damned wireless hasn't dropped in 2 days.
I have however placed the lead right in front of the router with a stern warning so watch this space!! :whistle:
