It did.

Wrong one

They did send it later though :(

Rik

Oh well, at least you have a spare, I guess. ;(

The one I bought had the gold coloured connections, as opposed to the one sent with silver coloured, and the Curries one was more solid and heavier, so a much better cable.

So, some good came from it.  :thumb:

Rik

I won't tell you how much I paid for my speaker cabling, oxygen-free copper, silver plated...  ;D

New toys should come with cables, imo!

Indeed, it is so bloody annoying to find that you cannot use something out of the box.

There's no excuse either, In. What does a cable cost a manufacturer when they are buying them by the thousand? It's like cameras coming with no memory card (or one which is ridiculously small).

Agreed, or the printer that doesn't have a USB Cable that would cost the makers about 10 pence ... grrrrrrrrrrrr.

I think it was an error, as they sent the wrong one, and did apologise and send a new one when I rang.

That one is classic, and you wonder why they don't understand the annoyance it causes.

OK, all up and running via the DVI input on the new graphics card, a significant improvement. :thumb:

That's great. DVI is just crisp by comparison to VGA, it's much more relaxed on the eye.

Just one thing that I have noticed, not a problem, is the background on here has taken on a very slight pink tinge, that I recall being discussed yonks ago. ;)

It's because the colours are purer, In. It's actually an optical illusion, if you measure the grey it's neutral, but the blue/green around it gives it an apparent tinge. After a while, like tungsten lighting, the brain ceases to note it.

It makes a change for my " brain " to notice anything..

Something to do with grey and grey matter..  ;D

Oh, I forgot, the RAM was branded as " Celenade "...strange, never heard of it, a quick Google reveals that it is an anagram of DaneElec, and is made by them, much clearer now. ;)

I thought maybe it was a bad translation for Serenade. ;D
