Hello all,

I am unable to get to my favourite weather site www.wunderground.com via my IDNet account this morning. The site is up OK and I can access it via another computer that I administer but is not on the IDNet network.

Anyone else having similar problems? I get the impression that some other sites are a bit sluggish as well.

Thanks,

JB.

[Edit] Sod's Law I guess, it is now working OK.

I can't reach it either, JB. Have you tried switching to OpenDNS? Using a proxy, I can get to your site, so it's probably routing. Give the emergency number a call: 01462 476556.

I've also noticed and reported the sluggishness.

As soon as I posted, it was back here too. I wonder whether it's all linked?

It snuck back in the time it took me to test and reply. I wonder whether it's linked to Trevor and/or the sluggishness we've been seeing.  :(

'Could be' seems to be a pretty safe answer at the moment.

Cheers for the quick responses guys.

Hopefully just a quick glitch.

Zen or Newnet?

I really don't know where I'd go next, if I was confronted with that situation. I've heard mixed reviews about both of the above.

Rik

That's the problem, isn't it Sebby. Even if we are unhappy at some of the issues that have arisen lately, IDNet still comes out on top at TB, the one rating chart I place any reliance on.

That's a good question Malc. The problem is that we are all used to such a great service, that when things like this happen, it does tend to shake your faith a little, and shows that even IDNet aren't as perfect as we thought they were  ;)

Yep. I don't really have any problems myself, so I'm not looking to move. It's hypothetical at this stage. ;)

Actually I think Zen/Newnet are about the only two I would consider.  However, I'm not sure all the problems are necessarily down to IDnet.  There's an interesting piece over on ZDnet.

Not somewhere I normally trust, and I think this guy has an agenda somewhere given that BT are looking for government support to provide FTTC/FTTH.
