RA-1972

Item Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin 12.5 dB 26 dB
Line Attenuation 22.5 dB  13.0 dB
CRC Errors 255 0
FEC Errors 0 0
HEC Errors 108 0

Are they alot for two days of connection ?Or should i not worry .

FEC errors are errors that have been corrected, whilst CRC and HEC are those that haven't. It's the uncorrected ones that we're interested in as these packets have to be re-sent, which can affect throughput, whereas corrected errors have no impact on throughput as the router is able to correct the packet.

The reason you have no corrected errors will be because your line is not interleaved, hence there is no error correction taking place. Therefore, you would expect only to have uncorrected errors, and I can tell you that the number your router is displaying is extremely low and absolutely nothing to worry about. :)

I make it about one error every 8 minutes - I should be so lucky. :)
