I run a Windows 2003 Server on my DSL.

This hosts my mail server, spam filter and anti virus filtering. It also runs IIS web services.
All this has worked well for months, no issue with email or web access.

Whilst I was on holiday I noticed I couldn't access my webmail (hosted at home) so I presumed my server was down.  Looking at my logs my server has been up for 80+ days and my DSL has not lost it's connection since 11th April 2008.

Email etc is working fine, but I can't access web services via my 2700 (this has work fine in the past)

I have checked the firewall settings and 'Web Server' Port 80 is configured for the correct device.. Nothing in the firewall settings have changed.

Yet an online port scan shows port 80 as 'stealth'...

I removed 'Web Server' from the firewall, submitted the settings and the re applied 'Web Server' submitted again.. yet it is still showing as stealth.

Any way to reboot the firewall WITHOUT disconnecting the DSL ??

Since mail is still working I assume the server still has the same IP address, which is the usual culprit.

It is worth trying to add Port 80 in an new user-defined application and see if that cures it, if not then it will probably require a factory reset rather than a re-boot :bawl:

What is the date of the referendum for England to become an independent country ?

Thanks... I hope I don't need to reset it...
Shame there is no way to back up the config..

If you check the Firewall Detailed Information page is port 80 shown as pinholed ?

If so the problem is probably at the server.

Yes it is pinholed...
I tried adding a new user defined application, made no difference.

HOWEVER it is now sorted.  A reboot fixed it !!

THANKS  ;D

There's very few things that a reboot doesn't cure. ;D
