Problem with authentication - Nov 5-8, 2006

Make that one more. For the first time ever, my PPP session dropped at 06:45 and came back up at 06:51.

Looks to have been pretty widespread.

Another user reporting the exact same timings over in ADSLguide. I've phone it in to TS, just so they're aware of it (they might miss it in the ongoing threads).

Anyone think it might be geographical? I'm in Milton Keynes.

We rebooted a router this morning in order to load a newer version of Cisco's IOS onto it. I'm sorry that we did not give prior notice but it was deemed essential. We decided to go ahead straight away as it was an unlikely time to inconvenience very many customers.

We need to replace this router later today (please see my post on the Improvements Forum) which will unfortunatley affect customers again. This is in order to fix the authentication problems that some customers have experienced recently.

Thanks for the heads up, Simon. I think you're right that few people were inconvenienced this morning, I only noticed from my router log! :)
