SingTel Firmware Upgrade

I'm pleased to say that the SingTel Firmware 5.29.117.3 works perfectly on a Single SSID 2700hgv :thumb:
All signs of BT are now removed :thumb:
Everything seems stable works as it should.
The wireless power is from 1 to 6. not sure what they equate to yet. The connection to the laptop downstairs seems better.
The wireless channels are 1 to 13
Just did a speed test at 6463kbps ;D

I just checked for firmware upgrades and it says i have the latest version but it did install the Firewall Monitor.  :thumb:

quick question did it reset everything to factory settings?

or did it keep your settings?

Have a look Here for dual + SingTel flashing. Also i think Kinmel has flashed a dual.
Once i know everything's ok with this single ssid, I'll definitely flash the dual ssid as well ;D

The configuration page defaults to SingTel settings and the firewall is default so i would say yes, everything is reset.

All the Voip stuff appears intact but i don't use it so can't say if its functioning properly. Can't see why not though.

It looks as if you can get content screening by connecting back to the BT provisioning servers for a while and then back again ;D

I have put the Singtel on a couple of Dual SSIDs, no problems at all.  It removes all of your settings and comes up in Factory Reset state.

If you do it, the MDC password is 2wire, all lowercase.

The highest known firmware for changing back from the Singtel at the moment is bt-2700hgv_reinstall_voice_adsl.5-29-107-12.2sp, unless someone has a later version for us.

Another thing to check is the timezone, it defaults to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore. Well it would, wouldn't it. ;D

no dns poisoning reqd (AFAIAA)

wireless power to 6

and possibly on the voip side there may be advantages on being able to dial sipgate numbers (and others) directly.

Go on do it you know it makes sense  ;D

Bugger!!  Don't you get fed up being right all the time ;D

OK even though the 2 extra channels "Don't" work (edit), there is absolutely no BT and that's good enough for me :thumb:

none of the Dual SSIDs  need DNS poisoning.

The default minimum noise margin is 8dB (It is 6dB with BT firmwares) comment from http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm#Dual%20SSID%202700HGV

Is that an issue? :)
