Why don't they start the new call centre in Manila, my application is in the post  ;D

I've just been round to a neighbour to sort out her TalkTalk connection.  When I rang TT support I got a bloke in South Africa.  Very helpful and knowledgeable he was too.

There's a big drive on to attract firms to SA, I've read.

TBH given a choice between SA and Bangalore I'd go for SA every time as they are at least comprehensible.   Maybe like Bangalore it's luck of the draw and I encountered a good one, but given the mauling TT regularly get over on TBB, I was pleasantly surprised.

Rik

SA is also on the same time zone, which may be useful in attracting the right people to the work.

It's only passing you to the right person.  Although these can be annoying with some companies, one extra key press doesn't seem too onerous in this instance.  :)

yeah simon, but is it the start of things to come ?

thats what worries me. the reason im with idnet is because they DONT do it the way that garbage like talk talk, virgin, tiscali etc etc do it.

IDNet customers arent just "customers", they are informed customers, and IDNet know the outcome if they started to dilute the service.
