Will be doing testing as soon as I get home to see if migrating to IDNet has done anything to solve my horrific ping problem between 6pm and midnight. Is there a run in period as the line gets retested?

Should I expect 10days of random pings and dc's?

Try this when you have high pings.

First thing to do is to find your username password that your use on your modem/router to logon your Broadband connection.

Once you have found the login page, take note of what the username and password currently are. (i copy it so i can paste it in later - saves typing it)

..:: BT Speed Test login details

Next we need to change the username to : speedtest@speedtest_domain and leave the password as it is as it doesn't use it.

Then simply establish the connection with the new details.

You do not need to run the speed test just using the BT log in supposed to do the trick and has worked for me in the past.
