My wife has recently become an avid lurker on my membership to this forum,
this is fine with me, but everytime she looks through the latest postings the forum seems to re-set itself so when I come on Iv'e lost all the unread postings,
is there any way I can re-set my options to perhaps show new posts for that day, or some other way ?

How about setting up a MRS Talos account for her, or would that cause problems with swapping log in's

Yes I gave that serious thought, but the double log in would be a problem.

You could have your log in using say Firefox, and Mrs.Talos using say Internet Explorer, just a thought..

Hi Bob

As Glenn & In have indicated, the problem is that the session cookie, which records what the last post you read was, is re-set by your wife using your login. The only solutions are the ones mentioned, use different browsers or have two accounts.

Sorry, but I don't think that will work.  If I log in on my phone, the unread posts are gone when I log in on my PC later.  I think it's connected to the user name.  The only way would be for Mrs Bob to have a separate account on the forum.

Yes you are right, just tried it .     I think a separate computer is in order

All session activity is linked to a users account, doesn't matter if you use different browsers or different pc's it will still cause the same problem.. You will need to have different accounts.

Sebby

Different accounts and different profiles on Firefox would be the best bet. :thumb:

Simon

Or different houses?
