Hi, I thought I'd start getting some info on moving house, as I am a lazy student (I do work part time during the week :p) and next year  I'll be moving to a nicer house I hope. So was wondering, if, when I move we have to get the line reactivated, can IDNet move the internet connection over to a new number or will it have to be ceased and re-ordered?

Also the username atm is basically the address of the place we live, if we move to a new address and if we can get it transferred, will I be able to get the uername chanhed also?

Sorry if these questions are daft.

As the line in your new place is physically different to the line you have now (and ADSL is linked to your physical line, not your number), the adsl will have to be ceased and re-activated on the line at your new place.

I imagine you'll be able to keep your username the same though...mind you, you are aware that you will have to pay the full activation fee for activating your new line?

Vader I did exactly this about 4 months ago...new home = new number in this case. I kept my IDNet user account and they provided for me on the new line in good time. Ofg course as LFW says it will mean a new activation fee :-(
