just logged into my bank account to see.

In the bottom right corner of the browser there is an orange padlock, if you click on it it gives you some information about the secure connection.

Lona

I've tried paypal and my bank and nowhere on the browser can I see the padlock.

How does the address in the URL bar begin? https? or http?

I've checked mine and the padlock is there.

https for both bank and paypal but where the padlock used to be it is now a yellow star which saves to bookmarks

I've just discovered that status bar was unticked in View.

It must have been ticked by default in version 2.

Got my padlock back now. That had me a bit worried.
