The price you pay is based on an examination at the practice that you choose, and also by the fees that some practices want to earn, we were lucky. The first practice I went to charged £100 to examine us, then wanted to renew every filling and crown i had before accepting me, thus earning a fat fee and guaranteeing no work to do for about five years. Fifteen years ago, she then wanted about £360pa from me.

The second practice charged £15 for the exam an accepted me immediately, ie no work required, and was only charging £150pa.
Thats excellent Rik, Justina and I are really glad you posted this link and information, have a Karma for the help  :thumb:

I've seen you say that before and it amazes me.  I get a checkup twice a year with the odd filling every couple of years so your £150 is a huge amount.  While it may let you off the hook for the odd crown, I can't imagine it being cost effective in the long run.
Fo me Ann having Osteoporosis its very cost effective my teeth are falling apart and this would save a lot of money, its something that works for some and not for others.

I have a lot of fillings, four crowns and an inlay, so a lot of maintenance work, Ann. Sue's cost is much lower as she has one filling and really only needs a couple of checkups a year and four trips to the hygienist. I'm paying less with Denplan than I did as an NHS patient.

I haven't checked to see if it's been posted, but I just noticed an update for Adobe reader, on their front page which is supposedly to fix a critical security flaw.

3.0.667.0 Rik

Can you force it from with the program settings. Problem is I've got v2 and v4, so can't advise on v3.

dont know Rik. Update section is just the definition files isnt it.

its not important just thought that its been a while since Noreens post and thought that the update in the program would have told you its available

Rik

Is there something about accepting program updates in the settings, Baz?

I don't know, Baz, I'm sticking with v3.0.684.0 at the moment. Have you looked in the Help menu in the program re updating, I have a vague idea that it doesn't update from within the program.

Baz

is that version stable Noreen. Do you have to D/L from the NOD site.

There a radio button in the settings to 'Ask before downloading program components' which I have selected. It may be that.Still dont get asked though :dunno:

never mind  ;D ;D

I haven't had a problem with it, Baz.

I did notice this thread on the Wilders forum.  http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=236701

Rik

What Noreen said in that case, Baz. In v4 it says it does it automatically when it checks for virus signatures.

Are the main issues sorted for v4 now, and is it any better than v3? I might update my machines tomorrow!

It looks like there are still some issues as modules are being replaced during updates I would give it a couple of days and watch wilders, Lance
