UBUNTU 9.10 is out with versions for desktops, servers and netbooks.

The server update went smoothly and for the first time I have installed the ubuntu-9.10-netbook-remix that has been specially developed for netbooks onto my Aspire One D150 which has the 8Gb SSD.

All the necessary drivers were automatically dealt with by the install and everything worked from the first start-up.

I think there may be some database tweaks as on first open it updates the iTunes library.

Here's an odd one http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads.html an update for the Draytek Vigor 120 adsl modem which has PPOA to PPOE bridge so you can use on idnet with a router via PPOE.

I have been trialing this recently using an Apple Extreme dual band router, on a good line its very stable with low pings and good throughput .Not sure what its like with adsl2+ or whether I would recommend a non SDI firewall router modem combination for a windows network
