Stability and security, Rik. Next update will be firefox 5 in June in theory. Must admit 4 is a vast improvement over version 3 as I see it now I have it set out the way I want. Be interesting to see whats new in version 5, then I think 8 weeks later it will be version 6 something like that anyway. We should be up to version 7 by the end of the year.

Rik

It makes a mockery of the version number system, doesn't it, Gary. Can you imagine MS offering three or four new OS in a year?

I know, but since the main competition is Chrome which up to version 11 now, I guess they want to keep pace, new features and of course Marketing. Tbh I prefered the old way but we do get new feature releases now if Mozilla can stick to the schedule which they are not good at

They did add something, now when you clean 'everything' in ff4, it clears flash's persistent cookies. Same for Chrome not sure about Safari.

dont know if its been mentioned already but Malwarebytes has an update and also with it comes the choice to trial the pro version for 14 days.

dont know the differences apart from it offers real time protection where as the free doesnt

Niall

I always wonder why malwarebytes says it auto updates, when it doesn't. I've just had to check for that and it's there alright. Updated and trialling the full version for 14 days :)

YAAFU - Yet another Adobe Flash Update

Adobe has fixed a potentially serious cross-platform security bug in its Flash Player software with an out-of-sequence security update.
