Gah, I just did 12. I've not actually been using Opera, as Firefox is working properly since the update (and I found a working adon-bar).

13 working very smoothly here, I wish people would stop bashing the updates with Firefox, 6 weeks between updates, new features like ALSR are great, and its following on the heels of Google which is god knows what version now. If you don't want to update take the extended release version. But its just a number, like 3.6.26 was and its actually less cluttered and it includes security patches as per usual.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

I'm reasonably happy with v13. It appears to be more stable than the previous version and it's nice to see some new features added. However the implementation of the 'New Tab' thumbnails is beyond terrible in my view. I like the idea, but on my PC the thumbnails are so poorly rendered they are barely recognisable and they only capture 3/4 of the site image. Many of the thumbnails are simply blank. Further more, the logic behind what's displayed seems to be way off. For example, by default I have two thumbnails displayed for 'IDNetters Forums - Index' and a blank thumbnail entitled 'ID Natter', a page I've never visited. I realise these can be removed or pinned but how do you grab what you actually want to display in the first place?

I haven't tried thumbnails. I have the bbc site as my homepage and don't bother with anything other than using bookmarks, rss feed for the bbc site and pc pro. Who needs that new stuff? I imagine windows 8 fans will like it, which is probably where the idea comes from.

Now I'm finding as I revisit a page the thumbnail is rendering a lot better with a little more of the page visible but it still cuts off a wedge on the right hand side. It's really odd.

Im not a fan of the new tab page idea in FF

I like to just have a blank page when I start then just chose from my bookmarks.Probably just the same you will say but the new idea seems too much at the moment.

Ive turned it off

I'd find it more useful if you could adjust the number of tiles rather than just nine, ala Opera.

ala Opera.

Yes, as stated Opera has this facility. I was suggesting that it might be a good idea for Firefox to emulate it fully.

Use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fast-dial-5721/

The other one I use is called 'sitelauncher'. Just pressing CTRL-SPACE brings up the selection window. I find it works nicely.

Hopefully it'll fix a couple of flash crashes I've had recently.

Its mean to address some, its to do with the new protected mode in windows with flash. Flash should be updating at some point as well from what I read.
