Anything and everything that I post on here is purely my opinion, it ain't going to change the world, you are under no obligation to agree with me, it is purely my expressed opinion.

Firefox 3 seems to flash up a notification to 'Download and install' the update, but it's gone too quickly to click on it.  There is a little tweak though, for users who want alerts to stay visible a bit longer:

1. Type about:config in the address bar, and hit Enter.

2. Scroll down to alerts.totalOpenTime - you will see the integer set at 4000 (this is 4 seconds).

3. Right click, select Modify, and you can change the integer to whatever you like.  I have mine set at 12000 (12 seconds).

4. Close window and restart Firefox.

Only 70MB this time. Surely they could make these updates smaller, rather than having to download the whole application each time? ::)

I've been trying to download it but found it so slow that I've abandoned it for now, anyone else?

I never bothered to download it in the end Noreen, it seemed to have increased in size and facilities, so I just kept the existing version.

Same here, Noreen, I had to give up. I'll try again tomorrow.
