Thanks Gary, once again Opera will not update via Opera, it only updates via Firefox for me...strange.

Thats not right In, sounds like a registry glitch of a dll issues, have you tried removing Opera and running ccleaners registry cleaner or removing Opera's entry's your self from HKEY_CURRENT_USER software and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE software ?

Ahh   that explains the probs I had trying to download it today for my sons system. Didnt know about the new version though.

I have been using it for some time, it is not really different from the suite of programs in Microsoft Office and you can quickly convert across to using it.  It is a full suite of office software and it is free to all users.

Open Office programs can open and work with documents saved in most file formats including all the various Microsoft formats too.

You can create PDF files directly in Writer and as with most open source software there are add-ins and templates for just about every occasion and it is all free.

One benefit is you only need to have one office suite, because Open Office can be used on all the main operating systems.

Start to use it and you soon forget that some version of Microsoft Office is still on your PC and you will certainly never buy such software again.

A final advantage of Open Office is that every version is fully featured, unlike Microsoft who cripple parts of their office programs to create the likes of Microsoft Works.

Did I mention it's free and it costs nothing to give it a try.
