I know many people avoid Beta versions, but Google's photo album/editing program Picasa is now out as Picasa 3 Beta

This excellent program just keeps getting better and better.

If you have not tried Picasa yet, give it a whirl and start with Picasa 2.7

I tried it on a friends machine, it was good I would recommend it, I prefer photoshop myself, also I have a inbuilt distrust of all things Google ;)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Sebby

Flash Player update available to address security vulnerability

Security Bulletins - Flash Player 9 and ColdFusion
Today we posted two Security Bulletins, APSB08-20 for Flash Player 9
http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-20.html

and APSB08-21 for ColdFusion. With regards to the Flash Player bulletin, no action is required by customers who have already updated to Flash Player 10.0.12.36, the latest version that is now available here
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

The Flash Player 9.0.151.0 update we released today addresses issues previously reported in Security Bulletin APSB08-18 (posted on October 15),
http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-18.html
as well as other issues which we did not want to disclose until fixes were available in the Flash Player 9 update available today. If you can't update to Flash Player 10, follow the instructions in APSB08-20 to update your version of Flash Player 9.

The ColdFusion hotfix included in Security Bulletin ASPB08-21
http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-21.html
resolves a potential privilege escalation issue that is particularly applicable to ColdFusion servers in a shared hosting environment.

I've got six on Vista (two of which are Junk mail and Malicious software removal tool).

I've also got a Windows Defender update and 9 for Office 2007 (of which 7 are updated help files and one is Outlook junk mail filter).

Which would probably cost them more than a month on broadband!
