FF 3.0.5 is out...

FF 3.0.5 is out...

Just had a problem with the auto update version of this down loaded it via the check for update link and selected install when down load was complete. Install kept failing with an error message "Failed to install" check if their is another instance of Firefox running on your computer. This got me into an endless loop of clicking the OK button it would try to install again and come up with the same error. I had to go to the Mozilla site in the end and download the full install package and run that which updated it successfully.

sometimes the firefox.exe process hang's around for a bit when the app is closed, I have no idea why. I just kill the process in task manager and that does the job.

Yes, I get that problem with Outlook as well, Rik, quite often find it's running slow then when I check in Task Manager there's 2 instances of it running.

Could be, So, they both certainly use a lot of memory at times.

Have you compressed Firefox's DLLs, by any chance (e.g. using UPX)?
