I actually feel that IE has gone downhill since version 6.

Rik

And that's saying something. ;D

I think IE is getting better and better and use it as my first choice. Tried Opera and found it awful, use FF and quite like it but I don't think it compares to IE8 and as for Chrome  :eek4: Nice that we don't all sing from the same sheet.  >:D

There's a performance comparison chart here

http://www.apple.com/uk/safari/whats-new.html#overlay-performance whether its relevant as its an IE8beta I'm not sure

PS I'm using FF not Safari ;D

They must have started digging, they were already at the bottom of the pit with IE6.  ;D

I'm in Denplan, so it costs me about £240pa for all treatment, the only extra is lab work, my recent crown cost me £45. It's been well worthwhile for us, Sue only pays about £108pa.

The price you pay is based on an examination at the practice that you choose, and also by the fees that some practices want to earn, we were lucky. The first practice I went to charged £100 to examine us, then wanted to renew every filling and crown i had before accepting me, thus earning a fat fee and guaranteeing no work to do for about five years. Fifteen years ago, she then wanted about £360pa from me.

The second practice charged £15 for the exam an accepted me immediately, ie no work required, and was only charging £150pa.

only charging £150pa.
I've seen you say that before and it amazes me.  I get a checkup twice a year with the odd filling every couple of years so your £150 is a huge amount.  While it may let you off the hook for the odd crown, I can't imagine it being cost effective in the long run.

Too right. That said, I think we've got a good selection of browsers these days. Firefox, Safari, Opera, and even Chrome are good browsers.
