I daren't tell Sue, that would see my bandwidth allowance disappear. ;)
Justina is still asleep so I'm ok for now bandwidth wise, currently cruising around Mars  ;D, she has had a rough week hence not being about much.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

Sorry to hear that, Gary.

Google Earth 5 released, version 5.0.11733.9347 now out of beta and with lower memory usage for 3d buildings plus many other fixes such as stopping crashes when switching from Earth to Mars.

Release notes here

Thank, Gary, just updating now on the Mac. I'm surprised to see the new version is for all platforms - usually us poor Mac users have to wait!

Presumably poor because of Apple's high prices?! :out:

Cheers, Rik. It's been a long few weeks now, and once again sorry for the late reply. She has had to have a whole host of blood tests etc, waiting on the results now  :fingers:

Google got their act together over this one, it seems more companies are with Macs now in general, which can only be a good thing. It must look great on that screen  :thumb:

Has any one installed this yet, I've just downloaded and tried to install and keeping getting errors about having insufficient privileges to modify files.  ???. So I'm sticking with v 417 for the time being.

Hmm, can't see why you'd have a problem then unless you're account does not have admin privileges.

Rik

It does seem odd in XP, doesn't it.  :shake:

Problem solved, though I don't know why it should be a problem, I was running the installer from a share on my server which I've always done before, successfully, so I've just copied the installer to my desktop and  and tried running it from there, and it installed OK.  ???

Most times, Ray. Much as I've enjoyed using them, they have driven me to distraction at times.

NOD32 seems to have quite a lot of problems when it comes to updates.

Simon

Yes, load of rubbish, Seb.  I wouldn't touch it.    ;D
