It must work on fixed intervals from the last update, Ray.

I think Java is set to look for updates once a month by default. You can find the setting somewhere (might even be in task scheduler).

If yo open the Java contol panel you can change its update frequency, I have the Secunia psi downloaded which gives me advanced warning of out of date or vulnerable apps which is really helpful, patching apps would be better if they pushed an alert rather than checked once a month, you could have a vulnerability for 3 weeks or so and never know it  :(
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

PSI failed to warn me, Gary.

Thats odd  ??? I had a warning from Kaspersky which gets its data from PSI, I have both to compare, and it let me know  :( maybe a glitch  :dunno: nothing runs 100% or even 75% these days  ;)

Rik

I don't manage 50%, and that's with a following wind. ;D

Thanks, Gary.
Lets hope its just one FF update in a week this time, hey Sebby, otherwise we could be up to 3.0.12 before we know it ;D. Roll on version 3.5  :thumb:
