Java Runtime Environment 6 Update 15 released, security fix

I downloaded that yesterday and this morning the system had crashed, coincidence maybe :dunno:
I had to do a roll back to Sat to get up and running.

No issues here talos, I updated last night just before the IDNet cgap authentication issues, hope its just a coincidence  :fingers: but no crash is a good thing, what does the dump say caused it?

Den

How is it when a update for Firefox comes out everyone goes yipee and when a update for IE comes everyone says Microsoft should have tested it properly before releasing it.  >:D

This is Java, though, Den. TBH, I don't go yipee anymore at software releases, instead I think "Why the hell didn't they get it right in the first place?". :(

Ive no idea, didn't even look, not that I would understand if I did.  I just swore a lot and went for a working configuration with roll back.  It just seemed very strange as Jarva was the only update in ages.  I can only say thank you Vista for the easy get out, if I was still on 98 I'd be working on it now :eek4:

Me too. Like the recent release of Wordpress. It was supposedly the best version, and finished. Within days there was a security update. I'm getting fed up of updating my site!

It's become a pain, hasn't it, Niall. I seem to spend as much time maintaining the computers as using them.

Its definitely there Rik  http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp its not a security update just a bugfix so therefore it won't show up via the updater as v15 has all the security fixes
