SuperAntiSpyware have released an online scanner here:

http://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html

So now if like me you just scan with SAS now and again there is no longer any need to have it installed, no updating before you use it etc. Have bookmarked it so that I can just bring it up and go  :thumb:

Sounds great but there is only a difference of about 2mb or so between the online scanner download and the actual .exe version, also I scan offline sometimes so for me its beter to have the version on the pc, good idea but though.

Is it me or is there a new version of SAS every week?

Rik

It's beginning to feel that way, isn't it, Seb.

It is. Still, can't complain if they want to continually improve a free application!

Rik

It's amazing at the development work which goes into free apps, isn't it.

Yep. Do they have a paid version too?

Rik

They do - I wonder how many use it though?

I suppose they're quite clever really. The free version is excellent, but it doesn't offer real-time protection, iirc.

Gary

There are better programs with protection out there I think, but as a freebie scanner its good
