I see each time I get a message the Unicode (UTF-8) have googled it but none the wiser is this normal to see this on the message ?  :-\

but I've never seen a warning message. Is this just affecting the forum, or other sites and email? What are your settings for language and region in control panel?

I will have to check on whether its just the forum Rik.just had a look on windows support will check the settings what should they be Rik ?

They are checked at on this setting Rik...I have never noticed the little box and wondered if this was correct  ???

Regional should be set to UK, on the advanced tab, make sure that 65001-UTF8 is checked.

Cant see UK there at all Rik Europe etc and no advanced settings..methinks I may be looking in the wrong place  ???

Did we establish whether it's affecting purely this forum, and is it the same in all browsers?

I won't be round much longer, but I've asked Lance, Simon and Sebby to take a look at this thread. My instinct is it has to be a machine issue, as no-one else has complained (have you tried another machine?).

Just switched to IE Rik and its no longer here so Im guessing its my FF browser as this is fine

David, in Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Content and click the Advanced button next to the font size.  In that next screen, set the Default Character Encoding to Western (ISO-8859-1), and that should do it.
