I've just tried check my email via webmail.idnet.com and everytime I put in my details I'm getting 'Login Failed' !! I checked my email earlier this morning, so I know it was working then. Check the Network Status, everything seems fine and I changed my password via Customer Login on the IDNet Homepage, and still it fails?

Any ideas?

Rik

IDNet are re-starting the grey-list servers to clear some spam - but, tbh, I've had no problems all morning, ~250 emails.

I too am having problems with email, both on OE and idnet. It appeared to break down around 11 o'clock and is still off now at 13.15.

Rik

No problems here, but they are working on it.

At least those grey list servers do a good job, I can wait a while for my mail ;D

UPDATE

Due to the volume of spam, IDNet are having to re-start the server manually. This means all idnet.com addresses willl be down for about 30 minutes, both incoming and outward.

Problems here receiving email on Idnet  in Yorkshire.
'The server responded with an error. Account: 'pop3.idnet.com', Server: 'pop3.idnet.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90'

'UPDATE'    Thanks Rik. :thumb:

I think something like this happened a while back, and it took a couple of hours after the reboot for the mail server to catch up.

Hope so as I'm still getting the same message as posted above by another user, no doubt it will be sorted soon :)

If your not logged in while lookinging at the service status page you will not see the message about the spam attact.
Its only there if your logged in.
