Well, hopefully, now things are starting to get back to normality, you'll see how good IDNet can be, Noelle.  :)

I've just split this discussion into another thread, Noelle, but there were a lot of posts, so please shout if something doesn't make sense!  :)

Hi Noelle,

Welcome to the gang :karma:

I'm really sorry you've had a bad time. I came over from cable (Virgin Media) to IDNet about 3 months back. I know we've just had a bad patch but I promise you things here really are so much better than I had before, no deliberate slowing of my downloads, real engineers and I never have to talk to someone reading a script with a strong subcontinental accent who tells me his name really is "Martin" and he's from Basingstoke. It probably just doesn't seem like that to you right now.

The best advice going round on how to get the most from your connection seems to be:

I have these things myself and recently went to my friend's house, removed a bad extension cable and put in the things above. His ADSL went up from 0.75 to 2.5Mbps so they do work. Hopefully they may get you some more speed or consistency too.

I don't make any money out of recommending ADSLNation's equipment though for the number of times I tell people to buy it I probably should :D

I hope it all works out for you,
Paul.
