Our favourite 2Wire 2700HG supplier, DodgyDigiDave, is giving away some free routers.

But there's a catch... You have to pay the delivery charge. I was about to order myself a SpeedTouch until I realised the delivery was £10, so I didn't think it was really worth it considering I don't need another router!

But if anyone's interest, here's the link. :)

I'm sure In will be rushing to get a couple, Seb. ;D

It is scary that you are monitoring his website  :eek4:

What is the date of the referendum for England to become an independent country ?

Lance

I suppose he is giving them away as no-one will buy from him! He'll make more moey on the delivery than he was on the routers!

I wonder whether it's a crafty move on his part. I suspect that, if the goods were given away, statutory rights don't apply, and he can just sit back and make a profit on the postage.

My thoughts entirely Rik, I bet they are mainly non-working returns.

Very Dodgy..  ;)

Can I just ask why these particular routers are held in such high regard by members on these boards? Whats special about them?

Rik

For people on poor lines, especially, they seem to give a performance boost that no other router does - in my case, I gained 1Mbps in profile.

That is a good performance increase!

:)

Especially when you think I went from 2M to 3M. ;)

That's a good point. I didn't think of it like that.

Especially as people can't leave negative feedback now, or so I understand.

On eBay? It's only the seller that can't leave negative feedback.

Simon

Ahh, right!  I thought it sounded wrong - thanks Seb!  :)

NP. :)

It's to stop buyers being scared to leave negative feedback because of the repercussions.

To be honest after the hell you went through In, along with many others, I would not be surprised if the guy is about to go under for being a con artist, word spreads >:( fast

Have to admit, I've been wary of that myself.

I don't think he's a con man. I think it was that he was buying refurbished 2700s from somewhere and they were just faulty.

...and still sending out faulty ones despite giving assurances that they had been tested, I would rate that as a " con "..  >:(
