I'll have you know ive just been referred to BT again, so there :P :P    they look after me  :)

:hehe:

Baz

latest from my ISP is.....Openreach state they have cleared the fault last night after proving it to be with carrier provider (BT''s) kit..........

have they admitted to a fault :o :o   and I got this result earlier

Your DSL connection rate: 7200 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 6000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 5548 kbps

so hopefully its on the mend.   only been like that since May........up and down.....well what do they think I expect, am I asking too much BT ;)

Sebby

Hopefully it's sorted, Baz. :fingers:

Baz

thats what I thought Sebby, we all know what BT are like

Baz

still cant get the BT tester to work. any one else having trouble?

Rik

I rarely try, Baz, I've never enjoyed watching paint dry. ;) I only use it if I need to check my profile.

Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them.

Sebby

Rik

Like the others, Baz, no problems here at all. Is your Java up to date?

well youve hit the nail so to speak Rik,  updated Java last week and it seems that its that that caused the fault. went into the Java console and deleted the applet for BT tester, closed IE, re-started and tried again and it worked.

Thanks for trying everyone.

ps..bad news is on getting the tester to work I got a bad throughput result from it      Why oh why did I have to say it was getting better :D :D

Rik

Never admit to improvements, Baz, it keeps the line on its toes. :)

You've got it.  :thumb: As soon as I had a 2700 router on the way, my Netgear started performing better. :)
