when using this how does the part work which says you can view and drag all graphs at the same time in one window. is it only custom graphs or the standard ones. cant get it to work

Rik

Sorry, Baz, I have no idea what you're trying to do. :(

The only graph that matters is the noise margin. Most of the others are flat lines.

if you go to configure then the graphs tab theres a tick box that says lock graphs together when dragging

if you look in help it says   If Lock graphs together when dragging is checked, dragging any graph horizontally will drag all graphs in unison. Alternatively, holding the Ctrl key while dragging will do the same.   about it.

not for me it doesnt  :D   just having a fiddle about with it    (easy........) and found that bit

Mmm. Can't see what benefit there would be in that, Baz. I only ever set up the single NM graph anyway, so I've not nothing to test with.

yeah me too really was just curious,  thanks Rik

I find it a very useful function. If I've had a RouterStats session running for many hours or days and have had several resyncs during that period, by locking the graphs together (noise margin and sync), it's simple to scroll back and forth and see exactly what the noise margin graph looked like at the resync points.

It can of course be done by reference to the time scale on each graph, but that takes a lot longer.

Baz

but does it work for you Dopamine

Yes. It's possible that you're looking at one graph, and then by the time you've switched to the other, RouterStats has plotted a new point, which I've found shifts both graphs back the latest period. That may make it appear that they are not locked.

ie; I plot every 10 seconds (or did - problem is now solved so haven't needed to use RouterStats for a week!). If I scroll back several hours, release the mouse and study the graph for more then 10 seconds, when I change to view the other graph a new point will have been plotted and the graph of its own accord will have returned to its most recently plotted point, which gives the appearance of them not being locked. This only happens if the graph covers a period greater than can be displayed in one RouterStats window. Does that make sense? lol
