Some will already kno this.  A new Call of Duty is currently in development.  It will hopefully be available on the PC, Xbox and PS3.

It will use the CoD4 game engine but rather than the modern setting of CoD4, the action is set once again in WW2 during the Pacific campaigns and the Japanese make their presence known.

There are worries about this game in that Infinity Ward arent developing it.  They made such a superb job of CoD4.  We will have to wait and see how it pans out...

I'll certainly be passing on this one, after modern warfare, why go back to WWII?  Also Treyarch (the developers) suck.

Yep, I'm very wary of this too for the same reasons and wont be russhing headlong into buying it.  I'll wait and see how it revues.

I feel the same.  They should be moving on from WW2

Treyarch has had 2yrs developing this one unlike CoD3 they only had a year.

Basically they shouldn't co*k this one up, all they have to do is mod an existing game and if they can't do that in 2yrs then they might aswell give up hope  ;D

But if it goes like last time, CoD6 should be an excellent game  :eyebrow:

I'm done with the CoD games now......will return to my Xbox360 and Forza Motorsport 2...untill November 7th.

I just got COD4 a few days ago, tis rather good heh.
Ive been a diehard fan of Day of Defeat Source which i have to admit still has better skill requirements than COD which is a bit more spamtastic. So i enjoy COD4 for just havin a pub game, but DoD:S for competition play. Pulling off a ream of single shot kar or garand kills while capping out flags in DoDS and working as a team to win a hard round is much more satisfying than running around with an auto heh. impo of course :P

Ill prob check out this new COD ye mention as i prefer the WWII weps as they have more bolt action weapons again requiring a bit more skill.

btw, if any of ye play DoDS, there is a great friendly yet competitive tourney starting again soon, Victory in Europe. Feel free to have a look. Rego starts for the next campaign on the 13th Sep. People from all over the world play a 10 hour battle twice a week.(ye dont have to play all 10 hours of course!) Quite something.
