Just saying hello. Migrated from Orange last week (after 3 months of trying). Been lurking around here for a day or so before announcing myself.
I have to say that this forum is, very much like IDNet themselves seem to be, very friendly. (Even the flame wars are friendly LOL).
Vey happy with IDNet up to now. Not synced as high as I'd like, but there's time. More than balanced by stable transfer speeds whatever time of day it is :)

Welcome Steve
Hello Steve and welcome to the boards here.
Nice duck. :banana2:
Hi Steve welcome to the forums.
Nerv its not a Duck its a smiley having something to eat
So it is.
I preferred it as a duck. :banana2:
Hi Steve glad to see you made it isn't it great to be Orangeless lol :coffee:
Though, in the interests of fairness and seasonal goodwill, I must say that they still run a reasonable mobile network. :)

Hi Steve, welcome to happy land. Where did you get that photo of me, btw? ;D
You a duck then Rik?
No, I just look like a smiley about to eat. Or, put another way, when I'm about to eat, I look like a smiley. Talking of which, it must be lunchtime... :)
Welcom to this funny place, Steve. I like the beakless duck, much better than the eating smiley. ;D
Thanks for the welcome, folks. (And thanks to stevelondon, who is pretty much responsible for my being here). I'm kinda hoping I won't need much in the way of help - been wround computers since I trained as a programmer on an old IBM 1966 mainframe - through Spectrum and (very souped up and much loved) Amiga to my current rig - which has just had a pretty major upgrade in itself. So I tend to fight my way through to a solution when a problem presents itself.
As far as my avatar - I thought it was my ex-wife when I first saw it, them I realised it was kinda cute (so I knew it wasn't her) and decided to use it. Don't ducks have beaks? I'm sure it aint a duck.
