I have got fed up with 30 ft of cable running though my house so decided to reinstate the wireless,no problem except it wont connect to FF any suggestions.IE is fine so its obviously a setting of something which isn't the sun :dunno:
Very odd, David. If it works generally, I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't work for FF. Have you re-booted?
Yes,rebooted so I will just reboot again I cant think why IE is fine...here goes :fingers:
FF should just look to the net connection, it shouldn't be looking for anything specific. If it still doesn't work, can you go back to cable to eliminate the possibility that FF has corrupted?

Computers can be so moody. ;)
Especially on Boxing Day. :P
Did it again...gone back to cable..................had another idea ;)
Order more cable and route it nice and tidy and tack to wall drill through into the room the pc is in,I prefer my desktop wired, never have any problems with laptops ,could be the adaptor, which is a netgear but cant see why this should be so :dunno:
I have a date with the returns dept at Argos (oh joy) it always happens....
I can't think of a setting in FF which would affect it, David, but it might just be worth taking a look at Tools > Advanced > Network > Settings, to make sure there's nothing odd there. Otherwise cable is faster, more reliable and more secure. Alternately, you could think about mains networking.
