Title: ADSL Activiation & Email
Post by: CrossTalk on Jan 26, 2007, 10:53:28
Fingers crossed, my transfer goes through on Monday.  I've got all my account details &  configured 2 pop3 mailboxes - that now show as ready.

However, if I try and log in to the webmail interface I still can't log in to these mailboxes.  I guess this is because my account is not fully activated yet - but can anyone confirm this?

I was hoping to update my mail forwarding on various accounts & domains to my ID net account late Sunday / early Monday so that if my current ISP kills of my POP3 access when the service transfers on Monday, I won't loose any mail.  I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers.

My mail was ready a day or so after my account.
Why not give them a ring and see if they can activate it early for you?

Like Nerval says, give CS a ring and see what they see!!!

It unlikely that your old ISP will cut off your email - my old ISP still haven't cut mine off even though i came to idnet in October!

Or/also, you might like to set up a Gmail account or two.  Since having probs with Plusnet email that went down daily, I now use Gmail for practically everything.  OE and thunderbird can pick it up just like any other.
Only thing it won't do is send .exe files.

But give CS the chance to help you anyway.
