Title: dos attack
Post by: sobranie on Jun 07, 2009, 15:51:36
Keep seeing this in my netgear logs;

[DOS Attack] : 1 [FIN Scan] packets detected in last 20 seconds, source ip [209.85.227.103]

Commodo doesnt report it as an attack so I must presume that the netgear built in firewall blocks it beforehand.

Comments anybody please?

I think that's google 209.85.227.103. Last time I had something similar I had a connection problem and by the time page requests had returned the relevant router port had closed

That's just a sign of the router firewall doing its job, Rick, nothing to worry about. If it were turned off, you'd see Comodo picking them up.
