Title: Attachments
Post by: bizzyboy58 on Jul 21, 2009, 09:20:37
When I attach photos to an email they are not sent the first time. I have to send again for it to activate attachments. Can anyone assist as to why this is happening ? ::)

do you change anything about them 2nd time, it could be firewall, size limit, even virus scanners can strip any suspicious attachments

Hi and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma: I've never seen that happen, what email client are you using and how large are the attachments?

The last time I emailed photos it was 4mb. My recipients are with different ISPs.  It always happens  with photos I have taken, not other attachments.

You should be able to send attachments up to 10MB (in practice, try to restrict yourself to 8MB). How many attachments are you sending with a single email? What client are you using?

That an idnetfreemail address? I'd seriously advise you to upgrade (it's free) to an idnet.com address and to forward everything from the freemail address to the idnet.com one. The freemail accounts have tighter restrictions on attachments (2MB).

 :update:

Even with idnet.com, you need to use an email client to upload bigger attachments.
