Title: administrator rights with lone user

i,m sure i read the answer to this on this forum recently ,but now i can,t find it

i am the sole user on this vista computer, and yet occasionally when i try to do something ,i get a message which says "you do not have administrator rights to do this", how do i fix this, is there such a thing as a "one time fix for this ????
