Title: No Internet Access
Post by: AlanM on Oct 20, 2009, 19:23:08
Came home this evening to find a big red light on the router - luckily not the one of death but the ppp connection one.
Anyone aware of any ongoing issues in or around the Bangor (N.I.) exchange?
This happened before a couple of months ago and that turned out to BT equipment in the exchange.
At least one benefit of having a cr*ppy line and slow bb speeds is that when you have to resort to dialup, the difference isn't really that noticeable. :thumb:
Thanks.

Alan,

If you have loss of service, email support or call and leave a message, someone will get back to you.

OK. Left the router off overnight, and when I powered it up earlier, it's all working again.
Really believe this was down to something in BT world rather than IDNet.
I'll maybe ring IDNet this morning to see if they can find anything out.
Work calls...

It was more than likely planned, but unannounced, BT work, Alan.
