Title: Record video from built-in webcam (Win7)
Post by: Stevescat on Dec 20, 2009, 19:50:56
For the sake of my sanity, please someone help me!!!
Daughter wants to record video footage using the built-in webcam on her laptop. She uses the webcam with messenger, so I know it functions OK. Where in God's name is the app for recording!!! Windows Media Centre just seems to play existing files. I feel as thick as the thickest person in thickland on an off day.
:grrr:

  missed that bit

Is there no recording software installed from the laptop manufacturer, or a separate driver disc for it?

Thanks Glen,
I've just come to the same conclusion. It's an Acer laptop and the app is called CrystalEye. I'm used to using Macs, so I get spoiled by having apps called iMovie. ;D
