I seem to have big overnight outages increasingly regularly. Like 3 hours so far tonight, at least 4 hours last night and 8 hours about a week ago. Surely BT should notify such massive outages? How can we use the off-peak download allowance when there is no connection?
I'm on Ipswich Foxhall exchange. Is it just me or it BT being very rubbish again?
Thanks
Chris
I'm assuming its a BT fault as it usually is.
Chris, it is BT, they are having problems with a node in Peterborough http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=17750.msg424276#msg424276
Hi Chris,
I'm on the exact same exchange as you and am having the same outages. Hopefully it'll be sorted soon.
Thanks. It's good to know it's not just me. I'm amazed we have to rely on something 90 miles away. I would have thought it would be in London, which is closer.
The node layout is a bit weird and wonderful, typical BT really.
I had a good few hours of downtime again last night. I wonder why it's taking so long to fix. This must be effecting so many people. :-/
It is. I know support were talking to BT a lot this morning, but they've got no firm fix date from them yet. Possibly, BT haven't worked out quite what's wrong yet.
