Title: Cooliris 3D wall - the media-viewing browser plug-in
Post by: zappaDPJ on May 11, 2010, 09:32:06
If you haven't seen it or tried it, the Cooliris 3D wall is quite an eye opener although I should point out that it's also is a huge resource hog. It's an evolution of PicLens, something I was looking at last year but had forgotten about. A link Dorset sent me a couple of weeks ago reminded me about it and I've been running it ever since. Aside from the eye candy element I find it saves me a lot of time if I need to search through a large number of media files which I tend to do on a daily basis. I suspect photographers might find it very useful. It's free to download and currently works with four popular browser types.

Here's a basic demo of what it looks like when embedded in a website, the browser plug-in has a lot more functionality.
