I dont know whether the space between id & net is deliberate or a typo but suggest try smtp.idnet.com

Suggested settings from IDNet website
@idnet.com Incoming server: pop3.idnet.com Outgoing server: smtp.idnet.com
@idnetfreemail.co.uk Incoming server: pop3.idnet.net Outgoing server: smtp.idnet.net
@idnet.co.uk Incoming server: pop3.idnet.net Outgoing Server: smtp.idnet.net
Authentication is set to none

I gave mail.idnet.com and net a go, no luck. the mail server has to be an IP address, I think, might have to ping  idnet's SMTP server and use that address for the SMTP setting.

Try using smtp.idnet.com for sending emails, this is the one I'm using as my smtp server for Idnet emails.

Hi BAP

Support recommend using smtp.idnet.com, as Ray says. If you're still having problems, they can check the server logs against your IP address and see what's going on.
